The World Heath Organisation declare the Coronavirus a Pandemic in March of 2020 - Social distancing also known as physical distancing was introduced as a precaution measure to prevent the spread of a contagious virus.
Several social-distancing measures were used, including the closing of schools and workplaces, isolation, quarantine, restricting the movement of people and the cancellation of mass gatherings.
